"The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry."
~ Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms

"Our lives disconnect and reconnect, we move on, and later we may touch one another, again bounce away. This is the felt shape of a human life, neither simply linear nor wholly disjunctive nor endlessly bifurcating, but rather this bouncey sequence of bumping into's and tumblings apart."
~ Salman Rushdie, The Ground Beneath Her Feet

I Want To...

I want to hold your hand on a cold night,
and wake up to your face on a
Saturday morning.

I want to travel the vast expanse of your
mind and scare the evil spirits and bad
thoughts away.

I want to fall asleep to the pure sound of
your heartbeat and taste the tantalizing
feel of your skin.

I want to wrap my arms tight around you
and never let you go.

I want to fall asleep to the sound of your
voice and wake up to the beauty of your
smile.

I want to kiss you from head to toe
and drown in your carefree laugh.

I want you, in your entirety,
and I want to love you
endlessly.
