"The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry."
~ Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms

"Our lives disconnect and reconnect, we move on, and later we may touch one another, again bounce away. This is the felt shape of a human life, neither simply linear nor wholly disjunctive nor endlessly bifurcating, but rather this bouncey sequence of bumping into's and tumblings apart."
~ Salman Rushdie, The Ground Beneath Her Feet

Free...

It is our imagination that has to be awakened to what is possible before our fear is released, the past let go of, chains broken, and all that weighs us down lifted so we can fall weightless into the future.
~ written while in Oxford 2011.

Free

From the fear of living,
To be alive,
To breath,
To run,
To live.

Freedom, not merely, “Just another word for nothing left to lose.”1
But, what allows us to lose and not care about losing.

“A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out…”2
Failure is not to be feared, but embraced.
Only by embracing failure are we free from it.
Then grace breaks through to dance in the midst of failure.

“Fear not.”3
Fear is an imposter, a thief.

“…your joy will be complete."4
Pain, suffering and tears are but the passage ways for joy.
Hold onto them like the hand of a dear old friend.
Love then can speak through them like a hand held comforts a tired soul.
Then you can be,

Free
