"The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry."
~ Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms

"Our lives disconnect and reconnect, we move on, and later we may touch one another, again bounce away. This is the felt shape of a human life, neither simply linear nor wholly disjunctive nor endlessly bifurcating, but rather this bouncey sequence of bumping into's and tumblings apart."
~ Salman Rushdie, The Ground Beneath Her Feet

Journey Thru The Past...

Well, I am leaving Canada today and heading towards Michigan to stay with some friends near Grand Rapids. It has been an incredible journey: Toronto, Brantford, Ottawa and then back to Brantford. Talked and spent time with a lot of family and some dear old friends that I had not seen in a long, long time and all this has helped give me some perspective on life.

I will write more about all this when I am back in Minnesota, as the experiences and memories crystallize into thoughts to write down.

Although, this trip has been exactly what I needed at exactly the time I needed it - I am looking forward to seeing Amber, Brooke and Cade and some dear friends back in Minnesota who I really missed while I have been away.
